Still The Most Shocking Second A Day

A human tragedy is unfolding

This film is inspired by the stories of real child refugees fleeing war and persecution. It’s a reminder that the refugee crisis is happening here and it’s happening now.

Worldwide, 60 million people have been forced to flee their homes by war, conflict and persecution. It's the largest refugee crisis since World War II.

Among them is a generation of children who have lost everything they know: their homes, their education – sometimes even their families.

This crisis is the direct consequence of five years of grinding war in Syria, and a roll-call of violence and persecution that has unravelled millions of lives around the world, from South Sudan to Colombia.

It’s a situation that has forced families into terrifying situations and impossible choices. And children have suffered most.

We do whatever it takes to protect children forced from their homes by war, violence and human rights abuses.

Around the world we distribute food, warm clothes, blankets and tents to exceptionally vulnerable child refugees and their families.

We reunite unaccompanied children with their families and protect them from trafficking and exploitation. We provide emotional support, set up safe spaces where children can play and help them get back to school.

But the crisis is deepening. We need your help to reach more children.
