Teddington Living & Giving Shop
Opening hours: Mon–Sat 10am–6pm, Sun 11am-4pm
Located in the bustle of Teddington High Street, this gem of a shop has brought a little of its outside surroundings inside.
Using Teddington Lock as inspiration for the shop design, local architect and design studio, AMD Interior Architecture, stripped everything back to find original exposed beams and cast iron stoves.
Mix these features with unglazed green and blue floor tiles, hanging rails made from timber and rope, a till point that resembles a gate to the Keepers Cottage, and you’d be forgiven if you thought you’d just entered the most idyllic country home.
Mary Portas says: “I am so excited to be setting up shop in Teddington – there is a brilliant community already and I want local artists, craftspeople, designers, cake bakers and shoppers to come and be a part of Living & Giving; after all, it’s a space for you, the local community.”
This is a real treasure trove which should be on everyone’s shopping route.
For those of you having a clean out, then do come by, pick up one of our donation sacks, fill it up with you unwanted clothes, footwear, accessories etc. and pop it back to the shop.
All donations are very much welcomed and gratefully received.
Mary’s Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children is appealing for donations and local volunteers to work in the shop.
