The Global Fund needs to broaden its mandate

A couple of weeks ago, the great and the good of the global health community flocked to my home town of Lyon in France to raise a whopping £14 billion for the fight against malaria, TB and HIV.

I’m delighted with the Global Fund’s success at the 6th replenishment. But I have one plea: use less of the money for three diseases, and more to strengthen health systems for all.
