More than 500 guests joined us at the Roundhouse - all to enjoy an incredible night of music and fundraising our work. The evening raised an extraordinary £1.41 million, thanks to compelling speeches by our Chairman Sir Alan Parker and three young keynote speakers.
They captivated the audience with emotional stories of children in the Philippines, Syria and South Sudan. A Night of Disco was generously sponsored by our corporate partner RB.
The music took guests from the roots of disco back in the '70s, right through to the impact the genre still has on the charts today. Fantastic performances were given by Heatwave, Earth, Wind and Fire, Jimmy Somerville, Sister Sledge, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Karen Harding and Florence of Clean Bandit.
The auction offered some incredible lots, including a red carpet experience at Cannes Film Festival, VIP festival tickets to Glastonbury, Latitude and V Festival, a Les Paul Guitar signed by the legendary Jimmy Page.
The auction featured money can’t buy opportunities such as an ultimate behind the scenes look at Arsenal football club, rugby practice with captain Chris Robshaw and a back stage tour and view from the wings at The Royal Opera House.
