Isla Fisher

Actress Isla Fisher has starred in hit films including Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and the ensemble heist thriller Now You See Me. Isla helped launch our breastfeeding campaign in 2013, travelling to Brazil to see how the country has reduced infant deaths.

Speaking after her trip, Isla said: “It’s shocking that nearly a quarter of the babies that die within the first month of their lives could have been saved if they had been breastfed in their first few hours.

"Brazil is an amazing example of how to turn that around. Over the past 20 years, the government has cut infant mortality rates by 50% and one of the ways they've done this is by using nature's own superfood, breast milk."

Isla also actively supports our work with Syrian refugees and recently made a significant donation to Save the Children’s work in this area.

A mum-of-two, Isla is of Scottish descent and grew up in Australia. Part of her passion for our work comes from her father having been a senior executive for Save the Children Australia while she was growing up.
