Keeping Our Promises 2013

Accountability and transparency overview

September 2014

Accountability is one of Save the Children’s core values.

By being accountable, we empower the children and communities we serve to transform their own lives. Not only is this the right thing to do, it is crucial to our ability to further accelerate change for children.

We have made a set of commitments towards improving our accountability practices in:

  • our emergency responses and development programmes
  • our child safeguarding measures
  • our advocacy and campaigns
  • our partnerships
  • our supporter care
  • our environmental impact
  • our strategy and governance.

Keeping Our Promises 2013 measures our success against these commitments, and discusses what we still need to do.
