Inheriting Extreme Poverty: Household aspirations, community attitudes and childhood in Bangladesh

This report presents the findings of research into why extreme poverty passes from one generation to the next. The first part analyses patterns of work, school and marriage among ultra poor children. The second part explores how communities and individuals can support action on childhood poverty. It includes lessons learned from interventions that have worked, and why.
