We've distributed aid to 4,000 people in Gaza in the past 24 hours, since the Israeli ceasefire was called. But hundreds more trucks need to cross the border every day if people in Gaza are to get the amount of aid they need.

In the past week 401 trucks have been allowed across the border into Gaza. However, over 400 trucks need to cross the border each day just to deliver the amount of food that 1.1 million people are dependent on.
Salwa El Tibi, Save the Children in Gaza said: "The average number of trucks crossing the border is just an eighth of the aid that people need in Gaza. Even a month of delivering aid at the current rate would fall far short of meeting even the most basic needs of the Gazan people. We need a flood of aid not a trickle.”
We're appealing for over £6 million to buy vital supplies for children and their families in Gaza. .
