Get Fair is a coalition of over 50 organisations, representing children, refugees, disabled and older people, and including faith, community and housing groups. We all have one thing in common – we want to combat and eradicate poverty in the UK.
"Some would have us believe that people in the UK don’t care about poverty. We are told that we are indifferent to the suffering of millions of people in our country. We know that’s not true. Until we end the ongoing tragedy of child poverty we have no right to call ourselves a modern country," says Phillipa Hunt, Save the Children’s UK Poverty spokesperson.
Action to end poverty in the UK is essential. A first step supporters can take is to come to Keep the Promise on Saturday 4th October in Trafalgar Square to call on the Government to Keep its Promise to End Child Poverty.
