Many children in Kenya are unable to attend school, simply because they can't afford a uniform.

The recent civil unrest has worsened this problem, forcing many families to flee from their homes to displacement camps, leaving everything that they own behind. We're working with some of the schools near the displacement camps and, with the help of Tesco customers, aim to support 12,000 children to give them new school uniforms and hopefully a brighter future too.

For every purchase of special Tesco for Save the Children belted boys school trousers, Tesco have pledged to donate either a school skirt, shirt or pair of trousers to a Kenyan child.
"I feel great in my new school uniform and I wouldn't attend school without it. I'd like to become a doctor," Elizabeth, 12, Lenana primary school, Kaptembua, Nakuru, Kenya.
Elizabeth has four brothers and three sisters. "I like science because it explains things like earth, water and soil."
"Now the violence has stopped I want to go back to school. My favourite subject is science," Chrispin, 15, Nakuru, Kenya.
"This uniform from TESCO and Save the Children really makes me happy. I want Chrispin to get vocational training and go to secondary school," Calsina, Chrispin's Mother, Nakuru, Kenya.
"I look smart in my uniform. My parents will be happy to see me with a new uniform as they can't afford one. I know the importance of education for a brighter future. Science is my favourite subject because I'd like to be a doctor," Anne, 16, refugee camp, Nakuru, Kenya.
"Anne receiving the new school uniform from Save the Children and TESCO has changed the family's mood. This uniform will give Anne a sense of confidence and help with her identity and feeling of belonging at school," Ruth, 39, step mother of Anne Wambui, displacement camp, Nakuru, Kenya
By purchasing these trousers, customers will make a huge difference to the lives of many children in Kenya by giving them the opportunity to return to education and improve their lives.
The school trousers are for boys aged from 3 to 16 and priced from £6 to £9 depending on size. They are available in 250 stores nationwide.
