About us
Madlyn and Chris are brother and sister
They live in Kroo Bay with their family.
I'm Madlyn and I’m seven years old. I live with my mother, my father and my three brothers. We live next door to my grandmother and my aunties and cousins. Our family comes from Freetown, except for one grandmother who comes from Liberia. My mother is a nurse and my father plays football.Our videos

I’m in second grade at primary school. I like school, I like religious and moral education. I also like maths, because the other children don’t like it. But me, I find it easy. I also like spelling. I think I do well in school. I like to study and do my homework. I like my school. Education is the best thing in the world.
Chris
I’m in form four at school. I like biology, chemistry and physics. My least favourite is economics. School’s important because if you don’t study, you won’t do well in life. If you don’t study hard you’ll have nothing in your head and when you do the tests you’ll fail. With an education you’ll be somebody with a future.
Madlyn
At home I help my mother. I wash dishes and fetch water. If my mother sends me to get something I run all the way so I can come back quickly to play. At home I like to skip and run.Mariama who’s ten is my friend. She’s a neighbour and she helps me to study. When I am sad, she makes me happy. She’ll sit near me and tell me stories to make me smile. We also play catch and balance ball and talk.
Chris
I want to be a doctor and I also want to be a professional football player. I want to be a doctor because that work is the most important in the world. Doctors are good because they make sick people better.Madlyn
When I grow up I want to be a doctor, because it’s a very important job. If a person was ill and if I could save their life that is a blessing from God. I would also like to be a lawyer. So when I resign from being a lawyer I will be a doctor! When I finish school, I’ll go to university and I’ll study hard to be a lawyer and a doctor. Lawyers are good because when you have an argument you go to court and they can tell what’s right and what’s wrong. They also don’t tell lies to people.
Chris
I like music very much. I like hip hop, it’s the best music in the world. We hear hip hop in the streets and on the radio at home. I like Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, Fifty Cents, Ludacris, Shaggy, R Kelly, Kowdinaro, Pupa Bajah and York 7. I also like to dance.
Madlyn
I like to watch TV and read. Reading’s important otherwise you won’t understand what’s around you. I like music. I like Sierra Leonean and American music. My favourite American music is Beenie Man, king of the dance hall. I also like Rihanna. In Sierra Leone I like Willy J, she’s a woman.
Chris
Sometimes I watch films, I like Schwarzenegger but he is no longer an actor now. He is the governor of California. I like American and Chinese films, but I don’t like Nigerian films.
Madlyn
I like watching Nigerian films and I like Indian films. I like love stories. Jokes make me happy! And to dance makes me happy. When I hear music I feel bad if I don’t dance.

Hi Madlyn and Chris. My name is Nel and I'm 11 years old. I totally hate maths but I'm quite good at it! I'm in year seven at secondary school.
I also help my mum to wash the dishes, and clean the house and unfortuneatly tidy my bedroom!
I have a big brother who is 13. He likes skiing and football. He is in year nine at school. My hobbies are horse riding, netball, swimming, running and football!
I have a horse called pinoccio and he is sending lots of love to you! My brother plays for a football team called Johnstown under 13's. He also likes music and his favourite player is Ronaldhinio!I I play the clarinet which is a very cool jazz instrument and I'm sure you'd both like the sound of it! My brother is called Steff by the way. He plays the eletric guitar and drums.
