Take Action
It's not just Kroo Bay that need you!
We're showing you what's happening in Kroo Bay. But it's just a community of 6000 people - and we know that every year nearly 9 million children around the world die before their fifth birthday. Mostly from preventable and treatable illnesses like diarrhoea, malaria and pneumonia.
We're campaigning to change this shocking statistic.
We want a world where the needless death of even one child is unacceptable. So we're taking our EVERY ONE campaign - to save children's lives - to over 50 countries. Bringing together more people in more places than ever before.
That way we can keep up the pressure we've been building all summer with Make Your Mark and finally persuade EVERY ONE - from your MP to the Prime Minister himself - to do their bit to stop children dying once and for all.
We need your support to do this.
Ask your MP to support our call to maintain aid levels to the world's poorest countries, and give all cildren a fair chance.
Children campaigning for free healthcare
On 16 June 2009 — The Day of the African Child — more than 500 children marched in the cities of Freetown and Kailahun, asking the general public to support their call for free healthcare by making their mark.

One of the marchers - 11 year old Musu (above) said ‘making my mark today means to remember our friends who died. There are many sick people in my community…this needs to change.’
The topic of better healthcare for mothers and children was also discussed on several national radio shows.
