Prince is now seven months old and despite a few minor illnesses is doing well. His mother’s been taking him to the clinic regularly.
This is Prince
On 4 October Siana gave birth to her first child, Prince. She gave birth in the mud house where she lives with her mother, and her Aunt Fina helped with the delivery. It was raining and dark during labour, and Siana was scared. Luckily she and Prince are both fine.
"The baby is doing alright. The father came to visit me the same day I gave birth, he bought some things for the baby - powder, nappies, cloths, soap. He also bought a lantern so I can see at night.
The father was happy - he told me, I'm very happy. We were smiling and laughing about Prince. He held the baby. He wanted a boy so he was happy. The baby's father has gone back to work to earn money. He'll come again in a few weeks' time."
