Our Mary’s Living & Giving Shop for Save the Children is causing a stir in the fashion world.
A revolutionary concept merges the best of high fashion, charity shopping and local talent - with a distinctive interior designed by Yellow Door to create a truly unique shopping experience.
We are appealing to the fashion industry to donate press samples and end of season stock - all the money raised helps save children’s lives around the world.
The Westbourne Grove shop opened in 2010. It was the permanent first Mary’s Living & Giving shop in London and followed the opening of the first permanent shop at Stockbridge, Scotland in December 2009.
We've recently been featured in Time Out as one of top 100 shops in London.
Chris Coe, Save the Children retail director, said: “The Westbourne Grove shop brings the very best of Stockbridge and Westfield London, mixing designer fashion and lifestyle with local talent, whether it’s homemade jam or works of art.
"We are very excited and proud to bring Mary’s Living & Giving shop for Save the Children to one of the most dynamic shopping areas in London. We are encouraging the community to get involved, to volunteer in the shop and local business to donate.
"We have had a great response from local retailers, they are already making generous donations and we want shoppers to remember to look through their wardrobe and bring along their donations.
“We are the first charity to invest this heavily in design because we recognise there is a customer out there that wants to shop ethically in a stylish environment. We chose Westbourne Grove for its fashion credentials. The interior will reflect the area: sophisticated, unique and of course there is a great family atmosphere in Westbourne Grove.”
We would love donations and for local volunteers to work in the shop.
