“This is the study centre run by our local organisation JPISC. The girl is in class nine and she laughs a lot. I also go to study there.”

Quality education is a theme running through the whole project, from children in India to the experiences of our UK students.

UK schools

We enlist schools and teachers as our main participants in quality resource creation.

Secondary schools are involved and are now using the resources in different ways.

Schools that have been involved in the first phase of the project are:

  • In London and South East: Lea Valley High School, Enfield; Campion School, Kislingbury; Moulsham High School, Essex; Dover Boys Grammar School; St Ignatius College, Enfield; Clapton Girls Technology College, Hackney; George Greens School, Tower Hamlets; George Mitchell School, Waltham Forest; Heathfield School, Pinner; Islington Green School, Islington; Mary Magdelene School, Islington; Alexandra Park School, Alexandra Palace.
  • In Leeds: Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Otley; Benton Park School, Rawdon; Allerton High School; Dixons College, Bradford; Cardinal Heenan High School; Heckmondwike Grammar School.
  • In Manchester: Abraham Moss High School; Newall Green High School; Fallibroome High School, Macclesfield; St Paul’s Roman Catholic High School; Lymm High School, Cheshire.

During the year 2007-8 we are increasing the number of schools involved and strengthening links with existing Eye to Eye schools through a number of activities and collaborations, including assemblies, dedicated theme days and a touring schools photo exhibition. We are currently looking for schools and teachers to pilot the materials.
