South America

The gap between rich and poor in South America is greater than on most other continents around the world. We've worked here for over 25 years, ensuring children’s rights are respected and their voices heard. We focus on improving children’s education, protecting them from abuse, improving access to healthcare, responding to emergencies and promoting youth-friendly HIV services.

Brazil

Here, we’re helping young people access healthcare, including sexual health services. We’re also protecting vulnerable child workers.

Colombia

Since 1991, we’ve been working to protect children from violence and abuse. We’re also helping children avoid being recruited into armed groups.

Ecuador

We started working here in 2002. We’re focusing on enabling every child to get a basic education and we’re also working to promote children’s rights.

Peru

We started working here in 1980. We’re working to get every child a good education. And we want children here to grow up without fear of violence.
