TV presenter Davina McCall and our Vice-President Gordon Campbell Gray came face to face with the grim realities of child labour when they met children working in a basement factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

In an extremely impoverished country like Bangladesh, child labour is engrained in the economy. Poor families are desperate for any source of income, and employers are often all too keen to use a cheap, underage workforce.
Save the Children is on the ground, liaising with employers to ensure that these children are protected as much as possible.
