This resource is aimed at anyone working towards fulfilling their duty to reflect Gypsy, Roma and Traveller culture in their Early Years settings.
This resource provides background information about Gypsy, Roma and Traveller culture and play and learning activities which reflect Gypsy, Roma and Traveller cultures and lifestyle.
The activities can be used in any early years setting as a way of encouraging respect for all cultures.
The play and learning activities have been designed around the six areas of learning in the foundation stage curriculum:
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication, language and literacy
- Mathematical development
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Physical development
- Creative development
