Tennis players
There are two types of tournaments you can get involved with:
- Corporate Tennis Tournaments
We are looking for people to represent their company by putting forward a team for events in our London corporate qualifying tournaments to be held at top London clubs. - Community Tennis Tournaments
Sign up to your nearest tennis tournament, get involved, fundraise and have a smashing time. Email tennis@savethechildren.org.uk to find your local tournament. If there are no tournaments close to you why not organise your own tennis event?
Community Tennis Tournaments
Tennis tournaments suit all ages and abilities and are held all over the UK during spring and summer, in schools and clubs or wherever there are courts available. The local events can take any format to suit the needs of each club or school. They're fun events for all abilities.
The best fundraising clubs and players are invited to attend the Festival of Tennis held at the prestigious LTA National Tennis Centre. To make sure you are a part of the festival of Tennis get fundraising now.
The Save the Children Tennis Cup
Winners from local tournaments can select to play in the Tennis Cup with Regional Finals in September and early October. The dates of these finals are below. Your finalists will be invited to these events via letters.
26 September - Lancashire Health and Racquet Club, Middleton - Adult and Junior Regional Finals
27 September - Chiswick Riverside, London - Adult Regional Finals
27 September - St. George's College, Addlestone, Surrey - Junior Regional Finals
27 September - Gloucester Esporta - Junior Regional Finals
27 September - Exmouth Indoor Tennis Cnetre - Junior Regional Finals
4 October - The Westway Sports Centre, London W10 - Junior Regional Finals
11 Ocober - Oxford Esporta - Adult Regional Final
The winners of these are invited to play their UK National Finals at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton which is held during the Festival of Tennis. To enter you need to follow these criteria:
- Juniors are those aged 13 or under on 1st September 2009 and must have an LTA rating no better than 8.2 on 1 April 2009.
- Adults are those over the age of 14 on 1 September 2009.
- All players enter as pairs and these cannot change during or after your qualifying tournament.
- The Tennis Cup is for all abilities, except professional players.

Save the Children Tennis Tournaments all you need to know
You can organise a tournament at your school, tennis club or wherever there are courts available. Everything you need to hold a tournament can be downloaded here, and we will support you all the way.
Tennis Tournaments don’t have to be all about matches so why not come up with some FUNdraising ideas to encourage everyone to get involved! We've created a whole page of fundraising ideas. You and your winners, or the best fundraiser, can win the chance to be invited to the Festival of Tennis.
Get started:

- Encourage players to fundraise through sponsorship or add an entry fee.
- Arrange a format to suit you — from a traditional tournament to a fun tennis themed event.
- If they wish, your players can enter the Tennis Cup. To find out full details and entry criteria download the Tournament Organiser's Guide.
- Tennis Cup winners from the Regional Finals will be invited to play at the Tennis Cup Finals held at the prestigious National Tennis Centre at Roehampton in October at the Festival of Tennis.
- You and your players can also win the chance to atttend the Festival of Tennis if you excel in your fundraising.
