Elders partnership
Who are the Elders?
The Elders came together in 2007 through the inspiration of Nelson Mandela and Graça Machel. Under the chairmanship of Desmond Tutu, this group of world leaders can speak freely on global issues, without political alignments, and help to solve global conflicts and end human suffering wherever possible. Every Human Has Rights (EHHR) campaign
Sixty years ago, governments began signing up to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), pledging to respect the rights of all individuals around the world. But sixty years on, and millions of children around the world still can't exercise even their basic rights to health or education.
To change that, the Elders are teaming up with organisations like Save the Children. We'll stand up for the values and goals of the UDHR. And encourage governments to make these rights a reality - in practice, as well as on paper.
Our campaign to save children's lives
The rights to basic healthcare, adequate nutrition and equality are at the heart of what we do. That's why we're proud to partner with the Elders.
We'll be working together to drastically reduce the numbers of children dying before they reach their fifth birthday.

"There is nothing more precious than the life of a child. This is where we find hope for the future. I encourage people around the world to make their voices heard and back this campaign."
