Volunteer in a shop
We want to make our shops stand out from the competition on the high street and we need creative and energetic volunteers to help us.
Mary, Queen of our Living and Giving shop
Following the success of our Orpington shop and the pop up shop in Westfield London, Mary Portas is now working with us on our first city centre boutique called Mary's Living and Giving shop for Save the Children.
The shop will be located in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, just 10 minutes from the thriving retail areas of Princes Street, Queen Street and George Street.
We will soon be looking for volunteers and fabulous stock from Scottish fashionistas. So watch this space as the shop is planned to open early in November.
We're looking to open more pop-up shops soon. But you can help us save children's lives with your unwanted stuff right now. Donate good quality items to your local Save the Children shop. And volunteer with us today.
Why volunteer?
By volunteering in one of our shops, you will:
- become part of a dedicated team
- meet new people
- use your skills to maximise sales
- work in a friendly environment
- know that your time is helping disadvantaged children around the world.
Whether you have a passion for fashion or an ear for music, or are looking for a more varied role, we have a retail position to suit you.

- Volunteers in the Clapham shop
I volunteered because I knew Save the Children did great work and I wanted to do something to help make a difference. I really enjoy volunteering in the Clapham shop because you get to meet lots of interesting people and the role is always varied.
