Party with the great and the good to raise cash for Save the Children.
High profile social events are a great way to raise funds for Save the Children’s work. They help build support from individuals and, most importantly, raise vital funds for our work.
You can support us by attending one of our annual fundraising events, or making Save the Children the charity beneficiary of your own special event. We're always looking to expand our range of partnership events. Please get in touch to talk about how we could work together on events@savethechildren.org.uk or call 0207 012 6400.

- Festival of Trees
This is an enchanting evening and a highlight of the winter social calendar. In 2009, royalty, rock stars and celebrities came together at the Natural History Museum to raise a phenomenal £425,000 for Save the Children's work.
- The Asian Awards
Save the Children are thrilled to be working in partnership with The Asian Awards. The Asian Awards reward outstanding achievement from within the Asian community. Open to those born in or with direct family origin from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Bangladesh, The Asian Awards recognise exceptional success across all disciplines of life from business to the arts, culture, sport and public service.
The award ceremony, in aid of Save the Children, takes place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday 26 October 2010. The event will feature world class entertainment, a signature four-course meal and an auction of spectacular prizes.
All money raised on the night will directly support our Pakistan Floods Emergency Appeal and our worldwide campaign to save EVERY ONE of the millions of children who die each year from preventable causes.
Save the Children gratefully acknowledges the support of The Asian Awards and United Business Media.Visit The Asian Awards website for more information about the event and to book your tickets. Mention Save the Children when making your booking and 10% of your ticket price will be donated to Save the Children.

- Meetings and Incentive Travel Industry Awards
Meetings and Incentive Travel magazine is one of Save the Children’s longest serving corporate supporters. For 21 years, they have hosted a Gala Presentation Dinner — a champagne reception, dinner and an industry awards ceremony — with funds raised for Save the Children. Last year, the event raised over £63,000, which was used to build and equip two maternity blocks in Rwanda. This year, the Dinner will have a World Cup theme; the funds raised will go to buy and run an ambulance in Kelela, Ethiopia.
How you can make a difference and help save children’s lives
Thank you for your interest in taking part in an event and raising money for Save the Children. It’s always helpful to see just what your and your sponsors’ support can achieve. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference to vulnerable children, both in the UK and around the world.
- £10 could buy blankets to prevent five children catching pneumonia.
- £20 could buy a kit containing simple items to treat children suffering from diarrhoea.
- £50 could buy vaccinations to protect a class of 50 children from catching measles.
- £100 could buy a family a food basket that will last them a whole month.
