Join Lee Evans at the Virgin London Marathon 2010
Comedian Lee Evans and his friend Tony Grounds are running the London Marathon for Save the Children. Find out why and sponsor them.
If you were lucky enough to bag yourself a place in the ballot, join Lee and Tony in Team Save the Children. If not, you can sponsor Lee and Tony and be in with a chance of meeting them on the day. Lee and Tony promise to read every comment on their donations webpage. The people that make them laugh or cry or both will be invited to join them for their post marathon celebrations. "Who wouldn't want to help?" Lee says, "for the price of a cup of tea, you can save a child's life." Lee and Tony urge you to give them the price of a cup of tea and save a child...

How you can make a difference and help save children’s lives
Thank you for your interest in taking part in an event and raising money for Save the Children. It’s always helpful to see just what your and your sponsors’ support can achieve. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference to vulnerable children, both in the UK and around the world.
- £10 could buy blankets to prevent five children catching pneumonia.
- £20 could buy a kit containing simple items to treat children suffering from diarrhoea.
- £50 could buy vaccinations to protect a class of 50 children from catching measles.
- £100 could buy a family a food basket that will last them a whole month.
