London Triathlon
Run, bike and swim in the world’s largest triathlon on 7 and 8 August 2010.
This extreme challenge offers exciting run, cycle and swim courses in and around the ExCel Centre in London’s historic docklands. Roads are closed for the bike races - a rarity in London - allowing competitors to race free from busy traffic.
If you join Team Save the Children you'll get:
- a Save the Children running vest
- individual fundraising help and support
- regular newsletters with training tips and fundraising advice
- the Save the Children Cheering Squad supporting you on the day
- the guarantee of a good day out!
To join Team Save the Children fill in this registration form and email us it to us. You can enter as an individual or as a relay team.
Once we have confirmed your place you will need to pay a £50 (individual place) or £90 (relay team) registration fee and pledge to raise £575 an individual or £1200 as a relay team. Most importantly you will be raising money to help the most vulnerable children in the UK and across the world, making sure they get the protection, healthcare and education they deserve.
Once you have registered we’ll send you everything you need to get started.

Great Swims
No walls, no lanes, no chlorine, just the great outdoors… in this series of televised one-mile swims in spectacular surroundings.
Take the plunge and swim with Olympians and ordinary swimmers while raising money for Save the Children.
Great London Swim, Royal Victoria Docks, 3 July 2010
Join elite swimmers, celebrities and other enthusiasts in taking to the water in the Royal Victoria Docks for the experience of a lifetime, with the London skyline, Canary Wharf and the O2 Arena as a backdrop.
To join Team Save the Children at the Great London Swim and secure one of our places, just fill in the registration form and email it to us.
Once we have confirmed your place you will need to pay a £25 registration fee and pledge to riase £150. We will then send you everything you need to get started.
Great North Swim, Lake Windermere, 4 and 5 September 2010
The UK’s first and greatest outdoor swim event, The Great North Swim was voted 5th in the Top 100 Open Water Swims and attracts 6,000 participant events each year.
The 2010 event is now full. If you have a place and would like to swim for Save the children, email events@savethechildren.org.uk and we will send you everything you need to get started.

How you can make a difference and help save children’s lives
Thank you for your interest in taking part in an event and raising money for Save the Children. It’s always helpful to see just what your and your sponsors’ support can achieve. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a big difference to vulnerable children, both in the UK and around the world.
- £10 could buy blankets to prevent five children catching pneumonia.
- £20 could buy a kit containing simple items to treat children suffering from diarrhoea.
- £50 could buy vaccinations to protect a class of 50 children from catching measles.
- £100 could buy a family a food basket that will last them a whole month.
