Celebrate the Chinese Year of the Pig with the gift of a piglet from Save the Children
Pigs do fly; they are flying out the door from Save the Children's Wish List.

Pigs do fly; they are flying out the door from Save the Children's Wish List but you still have time to order your very own piglet in time for Chinese new year, the Year of the Pig which starts on February 18th .
Visit Save the Children's Wish List website to choose from a range of gifts for friends and family that make a difference to children's lives worldwide. When you buy a gift from the Wish List, Save the Children sends that actual gift to a child and their family in one of the poorest places in the UK or around the world - the piglets are destined for communities in China.
There are over 24 gifts to choose from and every gift on the Wish List has been identified by Save the Children's country staff to meet the specific needs of the children and communities Save the Children works with.
Hundreds of piglets from Save the Children's Wish List were sold in the run up to Christmas and all will shortly be given to families in poor parts of China. Families who receive piglets from Save the Children can breed from them and sell them for additional income as their herd grows. The pigs can also be used for food when times are hard. Now that has to be top of any Wish List this Chinese New Year.
Zou Donghui from Save the Children's China programme said '2007 is the Year of the Pig and we all believe that piglets will bring luck and health to children we work with in our programmes. So far Save the Children supporters have bought hundreds of piglets from Wish List to help children in China but we still need more so please keep buying.'
