Festival of Trees

Save the Children's Festival of Trees is an enchanting evening and a highlight of the winter social calendar.

Festival of Trees 2009

Royalty, rock stars and celebrities came together at the Natural History Museum to raise a phenomenal £425,000 for Save the Children's work.

Surrounded by glittering bespoke trees designed for the event, Bryan Ferry belted out classic songs like Let's Stick Together and Slave to Love, while HRH The Princess Royal and celebrities, including Helena Bonham Carter, Harry Enfield and Nancy Dell'Olio, dined under the famous dinosaur.

Throughout the evening, guests were invited to bid for bespoke trees and unique gifts, specially created and donated to raise money for our vital work around the world.

After watching a film of Save the Children's work in Ethiopia, Nathaniel Parker (BBC's Inspector Lynley) was inspired to make an impromptu plea for guests to collectively buy motorbikes to help deliver education resources to remote communities.
