Latest updates from where we work:

In Sierra Leone we're working in Kroo Bay - a slum town on the outskirts of Freetown and one of the toughest places in the world to be a child. Visit Kroo Bay.

We continue to pressure the UK government into changing its policies so that it meets its 2020 target to end child poverty in the UK. We're working in some of the most deprived areas in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales to involve children and young people in the campaign to end child poverty.

We're saving lives in the drastically worsening conditions of Zimbabwe, where life expectancy is the world's lowest at 34 years old. One third of all children are chronically malnourished, and one in five adults is living with HIV and AIDS. We're getting food aid to 86,000 malnourished people, and we're training 195 local community officers to care for people with HIV and AIDS.

Our education programmes in Vietnam and China are improving the lives of children from minority ethnic groups, who are often marginalised and excluded from the educational opportunities in their countries.
