We start responding the moment an emergency strikes. But we often have to wait to raise money with a disaster appeal or through government support. That's why we have set up a fund for our emergency work.
The Children's Emergency Fund provides us with the resources to start our work quickly while we wait for urgently needed funds to reach us. It also helps us to respond to emergencies that are not always in the headlines.
We are out there every day responding to emergencies such as the flooding in India and Pakistan, typhoons in Vietnam and the Philippines, and the floods and fighting in Somalia.
We are proud of our work in these countries. But, the Children's Emergency Fund could help us to achieve so much more.
