Children’s Emergency Fund

We save thousands of children’s lives every year through our emergency response and preparedness work. But we want to do more.

Our Chidren's Emergenices Fund (CEF) allows us to save many lives in emergencies. It means we have the funds available to start responding to crises immediately and reach many more children.

Since launching the CEF in 2007, it has helped us to save thousands of lives in emergenics caused by conflict, cyclones, droughts, earthquakes and other devastating disasters all over the world.

Watch this video to find out how it makes a big difference.

Why is it important?

  • Most lives are lost in the first days after an emergency. So the quicker we respond, the more lives we save
  • Raising funds to respond to emergencies through public appeals takes time, sometimes weeks and months
  • Many emergencies don't make it onto the news despite thousands of children suffering
  • By responding we can attract more support by showing donors the work we’ve already done, enabling us to step up our activities and
reach even more children and their families.

We need your support

Your support to the CEF means we can respond to emergencies and save thousands of children's lives.  We are building partnerships with the business community that shows their staff the necessity and effectiveness of their support.Children's Emergency Fund booklet
