Dorothy Shirwell Cycled the Nile
In February 2007 Dorothy Shirwell from Southampton raised over £2100 by cycling the Nile.
"This is a fabulous trip that I would recommend to anyone. Most importantly for me it was about raising sponsor money for Save the Children, chosen because of the great work it does throughout the world. Don't just think about it; book yourself on the next challenge now," said Dorothy.

Durham University Students take on Mount Kilimanjaro
In July 26 people from Durham University took on the challenge of climbing mount Kilimanjaro. The Challenge was organized by the Durham University Charity Kommitee (DUCK), which has been supporting Save the Children for 6 years now, raising a fantastic £140,000.
One of the Kilimanjaro gang, Laura Matthews, said, "Seeing the rosy, pink sun touch the glacier at dawn on Kilimanjaro was magical and an experience that will live with me forever. The Kilimanjaro Challenge with DUCK for Save the Children was wonderful and I really appreciated the interface that Save the Children offered throughout my fundraising efforts. I would recommend it to anyone."
