Healthcare in Africa

Many countries in Africa still charge families to see a doctor or nurse

Those who can't afford to pay are denied treatment, with potentially terrible consequences.

800 children could be saved every day if healthcare was free in Africa.

People have to pay for healthcare in Sierra Leone. Abdul, who is now seven was born with a deformed left arm and other problems. Sia, his mother, earned money to take him to the hospital by selling groundnuts. Abdul improved with treatment, but Sia can't afford to take him back as she's no longer working.
