xMost lives are lost in first days after an emergency strikes – the quicker we respond, the more lives we save.
Sometimes emergencies get ignored by the media, despite the suffering of thousands of children. Not only does our Emergency Fund provide us with the money needed to help when disaster strikes, it also means that we can respond quickly to other overlooked emergencies.
In 2011, we responded to 45 emergencies but only launched six public appeals. We would not have been able to respond to all these disasters without our Emergency Fund. Please help us replenish it and donate today.
