We all feel unwell sometimes, but what can we do to make us feel better? Click on the links below for some advice:
1. I am not feeling well.
You can ask your parents to phone the doctor for you. The number can be found in the phone book or the Yellow Pages, or you can ask the concierge to help you. If you are unwell after the doctor’s surgery is closed, your parents can phone NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24.

2. I want to take some medicine but I don’t understand the labels.
Always ask your parent before taking any medicine. If your parent cannot understand the labels on the medicine, they can go to a chemist for more information or ask a friend to translate, or the concierge could help them.

3. I don’t know English to understand the doctor.
When your parent makes an appointment with the doctor, they can ask for an interpreter to come to the appointment to explain what the doctor is saying in your own language.

5. Someone has had an accident or is feeling very sick.
If someone has hurt themselves badly or is feeling very sick they can go to the hospital to the accident and emergency department. In an emergency you or your parent can phone 999 and ask for an ambulance to come to the house to take the sick or injured person to hospital.
