1. Someone in my family is scaring me.
If someone in your family is scaring you, tell an adult such as a parent, teacher or another adult that you trust. You can also call Childline on 0800 1111.

2. My brother and sister are picking on me.
You could tell your brother and sister that you don’t like the way that they are treating you. You could tell your parents about it. Try to ignore them.

3. My brother and sister are fighting.
Try and calm them down. Tell your parents about what is happening.

4. My parents leave me on my own in the house.
Your parents should not leave you on your own in the house. You should speak to your teacher or phone Childline on 0800 1111 about this.
Friends or a brother or sister who is 16 or over, can look after you if your parents are out.

5. Neighbours or people in the park are shouting at my family.
Ask your parents to tell the police about what is happening by phoning or going to your nearest police station. They could also phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or the Commission for Racial Equality on 0131 524 2000.

6. My parents are splitting up.
Parents split up because they can’t fix the problems they have between them. It is important to remember that they will always love you and you are not the reason they split. Talk to your mum or dad if you are feeling sad or worried and they can make you feel better.
