Housing

Persons subject to 'immigration control' (including asylum seekers) are not entitled to receive a 'licence to occupy' accommodation provided under the 'accommodation provisions' in the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 Part I (Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 s 118). Their entitlement to housing from NASS and under social work childcare and community care provisions is covered in the 'support for asylum seekers' section.
