The Decision

The decision maker has to make an assessment of the asylum claim, based on the information provided in the SEF and at interview. A determination as to credibility will be made. Information will be collected on the conditions prevalent in the country of origin and the decision maker’s findings will be based on what s/he believes happened to the applicant, on his/her perception of the risks on return and whether this falls within the Refugee Convention or the ECHR.
