Introduction Hello, Brighter Futures is made up of three groups of young asylum-seekers and refugees in Teeside, Manchester and London who want to improve the lives of others like us in this country. We come from different backgrounds and are aged 15 to 25. We are a self-advocacy group. We try to get direct access to the Government to get our voices heard. We challenge the media. And we also have fun. Visit the different sections of this site to find out more about our work to change things for young refugee and asylum-seekers in the UK: Postcards: we have designed postcards about our life here in England. Read our messages to different members of the public, friends, family and MPs. Events: Find out about what we have been doing. Read about Brigther Futures national meetings, regional events and how we have met with MPs. Multimedia: Watch some short films we have made, read our poems and play on our myth busting wheel. Communicate: Find out how to get in touch with us and give comments and feedback. Achievements: Read press clippings about our work and money we have raised. Links: Go to the links page to get links to other useful sites for young refugee and asylum-seekers including legal, health, education and jobs links.
