Welcome to Brighter Futures!

Our project is made up of three groups of young asylum-seekers and refugees in Tees Valley, Manchester and London who want to improve the lives of others like us in this country.

We come from different backgrounds and are aged 15 to 21.

We are a self-advocacy group. We try to get direct access to the Government to get our voices heard. We challenge the media. And we also have fun.

Here are some of the things our members have said about Brighter Futures:

• Its boosted my confidence/self esteem, know how to deal or help those suffering racist bullying. Have been to places that I thought would never go e.g. House of Parliament.

• I've developed team working skills, campaigning skills, debating skills, representing skills, researching skills, summarising skills.

• We're making policies that could change a young life in UK. Champion young life and try to give confidence to young and old to live to better life. Some really lose any kind of hope in their life.

This project is supported by The National Lottery Big Lottery Fund
