All the runners did brilliantly in the Great North Run 2011 – surviving the torrential rain and then the bright sunshine! A massive thank you to everyone who took part, and also for the volunteers who supported Team Save the Children team along the way.

I’ll be running the London Marathon in April and I look forward to it with excitement but also with trepidation. It will be my marathon debut, having spent many years competing on the track, as well in shorter road races. I have gained race experience, but I am not complacent about how tough the marathon will be!
