Satellite woes but high spirits

Thursday 4 June 2009

Well - still no satellite connection I’m afraid so you’re stuck with me :) I’ve had very brief contact with someone lower down the mountain and the word is that the team are still enjoying themselves and spirits are high (there must be a variety of ways to understand the word enjoyment!).

Apparently some people are now walking at different altitudes to others - it seems it’s something your body, and your body only can dictate. They come down the mountain tomorrow so hopefully we get to see some pictures soon. Can’t wait to hear more.

Remember - tell your friends that while the team are trekking they can make a double difference by donating just £5 to vaccinate a child at justgiving.com/rbglobalchallenge where RB will match their donation. That’s the potential to save 2 children from preventable diseases for just £5!

Hi Everyone! Spoke to Andrea yesterday and heard it is tough going, but from the sounds of things you are all in high spirits and showing your true RB spirit! Shout out to our ANZ trekkers from West Ryde, Australia! We can’t wait to see photos when you return! Jennifer, hope all your fancy new trekking gear is being put to good use, and Michael - have you broken in those new boots yet? John, we’ve been approving lots and lots of incremental funding while you are away… (only kidding! no need to panic!) Big hugs to my 2007 RB Challenge alumni up there, wish I was there with you all!!! (Jan you are looking handsome as ever in the group photo posted on the blog :-) Brand planning is in full and chaotic swing back at the office, envious? I doubt it… did I mention I wish I was there???? Have fun and take care of yourselves! Send photos if you can!

    - Grace
