Hello Clare
I have found your blog throught the SCF website I remember being so interested in Eglantyne Jebb in the 1980's when I found a small booklet about her story which I used in school. I now organise a series of travel talks in Leicester and have had many and various speakers covering all aspects of travel I would be interested in having you do a talk about Eglantyne and the SCF and the theme of how you came to write the book would be an added interest and something different to the usual presentation of a trip or an organisation.
Would you be willing to come to Leicester and how much would you charge? I now run the talks privately as there is no longer any funding for this kind of thing in adult education. I normally pay £50 plus travel expenses but would be willing to consider more. I would be happy for you to have copies of your book available to buy The talks take place on a Friday morning from 10 15 till 12. The people attending are mostly professional retired people and I get around 50 people at any one talk - sometimes more sometimes less. But I have around 200 people on my list of attenders.
Thanks for your attention Patricia Lessells
