South America

The gap between rich and poor in South America is one of the largest in the world. We've worked there for more than 30 years, making sure that children's rights are respected and that their voices are heard. We focus on improving children's education, protecting them from abuse, improving their access to healthcare, responding to emergencies and promoting youth-friendly HIV services.

Brazil - Save the Children. Brazil

Here, we’re helping young people access healthcare, including sexual health services. We’re also protecting vulnerable child workers.

Ecuador - Save the Children Ecuador

We started working here in 2002. We’re focusing on helping every child to get a basic education and we’re also working to promote children’s rights.

Guatemala - Save the ChildrenGuatemala

Since 1999 we've been helping Guatemala's poorest families overcome the impact of the country’s 36-year civil war. Today, our programmes cover education, health, livelihoods and nutrition.

Haiti - Save the ChildrenHaiti

Haiti’s earthquake killed 230,000 people and left more than 1 million homeless. We're working with families on health, education, and protection issues, and preventing and treating cholera.

Peru - Save the ChildrenPeru

We started working here in 1980. We’re working to get every child a good education. And we want children here to grow up without fear of violence.
